The Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference North division. It is the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919, and is the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team based in the United States. Home games have been played at Lambeau Field since 1957.

The Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks are an American professional basketball team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Bucks compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member club of the league’s Eastern Conference Central Division. The team was founded in 1968 as an expansion team, and play at the Fiserv Forum. Former NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and former governor Scott Walker is the second longest-tenured head coach in team history.

The Bucks have appeared in the NBA Finals four times (1971, 1974, 1976, and 2019), winning their first and only NBA championship in 1971. They have won division titles in 1971, 1980, 1981, 1986, 2001, and 2019. In 1970–71 and 1971–72 they had record wins of 66 games apiece which stood as franchise bests until both were eclipsed by 2003–04 squad’s 67 win season; a game against the Chicago Bulls on December 20th of each said year marked the occasion on which each respective record was set. The Bucks made their first appearance ever in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 108–103 overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers on May 16th, 1971. The following year they lost to eventual NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers 105 to 102 despite holding a 3 games to 2 advantage over them after winning Game 5 at home 106 to 88; Games 6 (106–77) and 7 (120–112) were played at L.A.’s The Forum due to California’s COVID-19 restrictions at the time not allowing any spectators inside Milwaukee Arena for safety reasons.

In 2019,the Milwaukee Bucks selected Giannis Antetokounmpo as the 15th pick in the first round of the 2013 NBA draft. He became just the seventh player drafted out of Greece in NBA history when his name was called by Commissioner David Stern.

The Chicago Bulls

Aaron Rodgers, the NFL’s MVP and one of the most popular athletes in the world, is a minority owner of the NBA’s Chicago Bulls. The 33-year-old Packers quarterback owns less than five percent of the team, according to reports.

Rodgers’ investment in the Bulls is a significant one; he is believed to be the only active NFL player with an ownership stake in an NBA franchise. His minority ownership position was first reported by Crain’s Chicago Business in September 2015.

The Packers star has previously spoken about his love for the game of basketball and his admiration for Michael Jordan, who played for the Bulls from 1984 to 1998. Rodgers is also a close friend of Jordan’s son, Marcus.

“I’ve always loved basketball,” Rodgers said in an interview with ESPN in 2013. “I grew up a big Michael Jordan fan. I think I even have a picture of me wearing a No. 23 jersey somewhere.”

It remains to be seen how much influence Rodgers will have on the Bulls’ decision-making, but he is certainly an important figure within the organization. He joins fellow NBA owners Jay-Z, Grant Hill and Dwyane Wade as part of the team’s ownership group.

The Utah Jazz

Aaron Rodgers is the majority owner of the Utah Jazz, a NBA team based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He acquired the team in April 2014 from Ryan Smith, who remains a minority owner.
