The Central Division is made up of the Chicago Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Detroit Pistons, the Indiana Pacers, and the Milwaukee Bucks. These teams are all located in the Midwest region of the United States.
The Bulls have won six NBA championships, the most of any team in the Central Division. The Cavs have won one championship, which was in 2016. The Pistons have won three championships, the most recent being in 2004. The Pacers have never won an NBA championship. The Bucks have also never won an NBA championship.
The Southeast Division
The Southeast Division is a division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, all of which are based in the southeastern United States.
The Southeast Division was formed in 2004 as part of the NBA’s realignment plan. Prior to the realignment, the Orlando Magic were members of the Atlantic Division, while all other Southeast teams were members of the Central Division. The Magic joined the Southeast Division when they were realigned to the Eastern Conference.
As part of the realignment plan, each conference was divid into three five-team divisions. The primary goal of the realignment was to reduce travel costs for all teams by having them play more games against divisional opponents.
The Southeast Division is currently composed of the following teams:
-Atlanta Hawks
-Charlotte Hornets
-Miami Heat
-Orlando Magic
-Washington Wizards
The Western Conference
The Western Conference is made up of the following teams: the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Houston Rockets, the Golden State Warriors, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Sacramento Kings, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Utah Jazz. These teams are all vying for a spot in the playoffs, so it should be a great season.
The Southwest Division
The Southwest Division is a division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, all located in the southern United States.
The Southwest Division was formed in 2004 as part of the NBA’s realignment plan. At that time, the league moved the New Orleans Hornets from the Eastern Conference’s Central Division to the newly-formed Southwest Division. This realignment plan was necessitated by the relocation of the Charlotte Hornets from Charlotte, North Carolina to New Orleans.
The Southwest Division is one of three divisions in the Western Conference with five teams. The other two are the Pacific and Northwest Divisions.
The Southwest Division is currently represented by two teams in the NBA Playoffs: the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets. The Mavericks are the division champions, while the Rockets are the second seed in the conference.
The Northwest Division
The Northwest Division is a division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, and its winner in the NBA Playoffs is granted the second-best record in the conference overall.
The Northwest Division was created prior to the 1970–71 NBA season, when the NBA expanded from 14 to 17 teams with the addition of the Buffalo Braves, Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and San Diego Conquistadors. The Seahawks were later renamed the Supersonics after 41 years.
The franchise currently known as the Oklahoma City Thunder began play as the Seattle SuperSonics in 1967. They won their only NBA Championship as a Seattle-based team in 1979. When they relocated to Oklahoma City for the 2008–09 season, they retained their name and history due to fan support.
The Pacific Division
The Pacific Division is one of the three divisions in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, which are all located on the west coast of the United States. The division was created in 1970, when the NBA realigned its teams into two conferences and four divisions. The division has been won by a different team every year since it was created, with no team winning more than two division titles in a row.
The current division champions are the Golden State Warriors, who have won the division four times in a row. Other teams in the division include the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings.
