The First Round

The first round of the NFL Draft will begin at 8:00 pm ET on ESPN. The draft will be held in Chicago, Illinois at the Auditorium Theatre.

There are a total of 32 picks in the first round of the draft. The first pick belongs to the Cleveland Browns, and the last pick belongs to the New England Patriots.

All teams will have 10 minutes to make their pick in the first round. If a team does not make their pick within that time limit, they will forfeit their pick and move to the next round.

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently on the clock with the first pick of the second round, after they traded away their first-round selection to the San Francisco 49ers last year. The Chiefs selected LSU superstar wide receiver Clyde Edwards-Helaire with that pick. He joins an already lethal Kansas City offense that includes reigning MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce.

The second and third rounds of the NFL Draft will take place tonight, starting at 7 p.m. ET. The draft will resume tomorrow with rounds four through seven.

The Third Round

The third round of the 2020 NFL Draft will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, April 24. The draft will resume with rounds four through seven on Saturday, April 25, beginning at noon ET.

There are 96 selections in the third round, and the order is determined by reverse order of finish for the 2019 season. The team with the worst record picks first, and the Super Bowl champion picks last.

The Kansas City Chiefs do not have a selection in the third round as they traded it to the San Francisco 49ers as part of a deal that sent defensive end Dee Ford to San Francisco.

The New England Patriots own two selections in the third round, No. 23 and No. 87 overall. The Patriots acquired the 23rd pick from the Los Angeles Rams in a trade that sent Pro Bowl cornerback Aqib Talib to Los Angeles.
