Introduction
The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL was formed in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association (APFA) before renaming itself the National Football League for the 1922 season.

From 1932 onwards, each team played all other teams in their conference twice during the regular season – once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents – so 14 games total. This changed to 16 games per team starting in 1978.

And of course, there’s always the draft. This is where teams can select the best college players and add them to their roster. This can be a great way to build for the future or add immediate help to a team that needs it.
So while we wait to see who will be crowned this year’s NFL champion, there’s plenty of other storylines to follow in the offseason. Which team will make the biggest splash in free agency? Who will surprise everyone with a quarterback taken high in the draft? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: there’s never a dull moment in the NFL.
