With the start of the NFL season, we take a look at which players have the most followers on Instagram.
Russell Wilson
With 2.6 million followers, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is far and away the NFL player with the most followers on Instagram. Wilson is followed by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (1.5 million), Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (1.4 million), and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (1.3 million).
J.J. Watt
As of September 2020, J.J. Watt has the most followers of any NFL player on Instagram with over 4.8 million followers. The Houston Texans defensive end is a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and a five-time Pro Bowler. He is also active off the field, participating in relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and raising over $37 million for victims of Hurricane Harvey through his foundation.
Odell Beckham Jr.
Odell Beckham Jr. has the most followers on Instagram out of all NFL players with a whopping 11.8 million followers. That’s over 2 million more followers than the next highest NFL player, which is Tom Brady with 9.6 million followers. It’s no surprise that Beckham has so many followers given that he’s one of the most popular and charismatic players in the NFL.
Tom Brady
Tom Brady, quarterback for the New England Patriots, has the most followers on Instagram of any NFL player. As of September 2019, Brady has 20.8 million followers on the social media platform.
Brady is a six-time Super Bowl champion and four-time Super Bowl MVP. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Brady has played in 14 NFL seasons, all with the Patriots.
Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, has the most followers of any NFL player on Instagram. As of July 2020, he has over 6.2 million followers on the social media platform.
