College Career

Sherman played college football for four years at Stanford University from 2006 to 2010. He was a member of the school’s track and field team, specializing in the triple jump. As a freshman in 2006, he played in 11 games as a reserve wide receiver and completed one pass for 23 yards. In 2007, he appeared in 13 games as a cornerback and had 24 tackles and an interception. As a junior in 2008, he was named a first-team All-Pac-10 cornerback after leading the conference with six interceptions. In 2009, he was named a second-team All-Pac-10 cornerback after recording 55 tackles and two interceptions. He missed the first game of his senior season due to suspension for violating team rules.
