What NFL Team Has Not Won a Game This Year?
Contents
The 2020 NFL season has not been kind to everyone. There have been some pretty big surprises, like the Patriots not looking like the powerhouse they once were. But the biggest surprise of all has been the teams who have not won a game yet this season. As of week 8, there are four teams who have yet to experience the sweet taste of victory.
The Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are an American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The Browns have not won a game this year, and fans are wondering what is going on.
The team’s history
The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The Browns play their home games at FirstEnergy Stadium, which opened in 1999, with administrative offices and training facilities in Berea, Ohio. The Browns’ official colors are brown, orange and white. They are unique among the 32 member franchises of the NFL in that they do not have a helmet logo.
The franchise was founded in 1945 by businessman Arthur B. McBride and coach Paul Brown as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). The Browns dominated the AAFC, compiling a 47–4–3 record in the league’s four seasons and winning its championship in each of them. When the AAFC folded after the 1949 season, the Browns joined the NFL along with three other AAFC teams, the San Francisco 49ers, the original Baltimore Colts (now Indianapolis Colts) and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Browns won a championship in their inaugural NFL season, as well as in 1954, 1955 and 1964. From 1965 to 1995, they did not appear in or win a single playoff game. In 1995, owner Art Modell shocked many when he announced plans to move the team to Baltimore; following negotiations with officials from both cities, an agreement was eventually reached that allowed him to retain ownership of the team while moving it—the only time since its founding that it has been based outside Cleveland Browns Stadium/Cleveland Municipal Stadium (later named Cleveland Stadium).

The New York Jets
As of right now, the New York Jets are the only team in the NFL that has not won a game this year. They are currently 0-11 and their next game is against the Baltimore Ravens. The Jets have had a rough year and their fans are hoping that they can at least finish the season with one win.
The team’s history
The New York Jets are a professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area. The Jets compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team is headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey. In a unique arrangement for the league, the Jets share MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey with the New York Giants. The franchise is legally and corporately registered as New York Jets, LLC.
The team was founded in 1959 as the Titans of New York, an original member of the American Football League (AFL); later, the franchise joined the NFL in the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team began to play at Shea Stadium in 1964 and continued to play there until 1983. Afterwards, the club moved to Giants Stadium in 1984 and then to MetLife Stadium prior to the start of the 2010 season. The Jets advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 1968 and went on to compete in Super Bowl III where they defeated the Baltimore Colts, becoming world champions. Since 1968, they have appeared in 15 playoff games—including eight AFC Championship appearances—but have never returned to nor won another Super Bowl or AFC Championship game.

The San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers have not won a game this year. They have lost all of their games. This is a very bad year for the team.
The team’s history
The San Francisco 49ers are a professional American football team located in the San Francisco Bay Area. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The team plays its home games at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which it shares with the Santa Clara Stadium Authority. The 49ers were founded in 1946 as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and joined the NFL in 1949 when the leagues merged. The team had significant success in the 1980s and 1990s, winning five Super Bowl championships between 1981 and 1994 under Hall of Fame head coach Bill Walsh.[9]
The 49ers have been in decline since their last Super Bowl win in 1994, and have missed the playoffs eight times since then. In addition, they have failed to finish with a winning record since 2002.[10] Following their sale by long-time owner Edward J. DeBartolo Jr. after that season, San Francisco has been unable to regain playoff success or integrity under any of its three post-DeBartolo head coaches: Steve Mariucci, Dennis Erickson, or Mike Nolan. Head coach Kyle Shanahan is currently leading his first full season as head coach after being hired on February 6th, 2017.[11] In addition to their five Super Bowl wins, they have also won 19 NFC championships (second most all-time behind the Packers’ 22),[12][13] ample reason for their fans and sports writers to call them one of the NFL’s most successful teams.
