The Cardinals have won two NFL championships, both while based in Chicago. The first occurred in 1925, but is disputed due to inconclusive evidence and was awarded to them much later. Their second title followed 29 years later and was won during their time in St. Louis after relocating there upon being awarded a bid for an NFL expansion franchise courtesy of then-owner Bill Bidwill’s sons Charles and Bill Jr..
