The Teams

The Dallas Cowboys will be playing the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas day. This will be the sixth time the two teams have played each other on Christmas day. The last time they played each other was in 1994. The Cowboys have a 5-0 record against the Rams on Christmas day.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area. The Bills compete in the National Football League (NFL), as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays their home games at New Era Field in Orchard Park, New York. The Bills are the only NFL team that plays its home games in the state of New York after the New York Jets and New York Giants relocated to MetLife Stadium in 2010 and 2009, respectively. The franchise was founded in 1959 as a charter member of the AFL, but joined the NFL as part of the AFL–NFL merger in 1970.

The Bills have the longest playoff drought in NFL history; they have not made the playoffs since 1999 and have not won a playoff game since 1995, when they defeated the Miami Dolphins in AFC Wild Card playoffs. From 1960 to 1969, Buffalo appeared in 10 AFL/AFC Championship Games winning eight of them; they appeared six times from 1970 through 1999 under NFL rules winning none of those games, although they did make it back to back Super Bowls for Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII both times losing to their AFC East rivals, firstly to Dallas then to Denver. That drought has extended into 21st century where they have not made playoffs since 1999 and have never won more than 9 games in single season since then.

The franchise is legally and corporately registered as New York Jets, LLC.

The Games
