Contents
The National Football League has seen a recent trend of teams adding male cheerleaders to their rosters. Currently, the NFL teams with male cheerleaders are the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Rams, and New Orleans Saints.
The Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals are the only NFL team that has male cheerleaders. The Bengals cheerleaders are called the Ben-Gals. TheBen-Gals perform at all of the Cincinnati Bengals’ home games. They also make appearances at various events around Cincinnati.
History
The Cincinnati Bengals are a professional American football franchise based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Bengals compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) North division. Their home stadium is Paul Brown Stadium in downtown Cincinnati.
The Bengals were founded in 1966 as a member of the American Football League (AFL) by former Cleveland Browns head coach Paul Brown. Brown was the Bengals’ head coach from their inception to 1975. After being dismissed as the Browns’ head coach by Art Modell in January 1963, Brown had shown interest in establishing another professional football team in Ohio and looked at both Columbus and Cincinnati as potential cities despite promising Hue Jackson, then-assistant coach, that he would find him another job if he did not take over for him. Cincinnati became home to the new franchise, which was a revival of sorts of the old Cleveland Bulldogs franchise that had last played in 1927, as well as being an outgrowth of the AFL–NFL merger that began in 1966 and was completed two years later.
The Bengalοs have reached two Super Bowls— XVI (1981), where they lost to the San Francisco 49ers; and XXIII (1988), where they lost to the San Francisco 49ers again—and have appeared most recently in 1990, 1991, 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2015; they lost all six of those appearances. As of 2019, they remain one of only 12 NFL teams to not have won a Super Bowl championship.

The Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams are one of the few NFL teams with male cheerleaders. The Rams have been praised for their inclusivity, and their male cheerleaders are an important part of their team. The Rams have a long history of diversity and inclusion, and their male cheerleaders are a reflection of that.

The Rams franchise was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams in the short-lived second American Football League before joining the NFL the next year. In 1946, the franchise moved to Los Angeles. The Rams have been featured in two Super Bowls, winning one ( Super Bowl XIV). The team’s education cheerleaders, known as the Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders, were the first male-female cheerleading squad in the NFL and are widely credited with helping to popularize professional cheerleading.[1][2]

The Rams have appeared in three Super Bowls and won one, Super Bowl LIII; they are also the first team to appear in consecutive Super Bowls representing opposite conferences (XLVIII and LIII).From 1945 until 1957, there was an NFL championship game between this league’s conference champions; however, during this period neither conference necessarily represented all of professional football as there were other leagues also playing at this time such as the All-America Football Conference and Canadian Football League). From 1958 onwards, following NFL expansion and renaming as part of a merger with its rival American Football League, there has been no such championship game—since then only playoff contests determine each season’s NFL champion—but numerous other NFL playoffs leading to a final contest for this championship have been conducted since then; as will several more be conducted every year henceforth.
