The team began to play their home games at Shea Stadium in 1964 and then moved to Giants Stadium in 1984. Eight years later, following their record-setting 1982 campaign, Parcells led them to victory again in Super Bowl XVIII against their intrastate rivals, the Los Angeles Raiders. After capturing their first ever division championship in 1998 under head coach Bill Parcells and a 12–4 record, they lost to John Elway’s Denver Broncos squad 16–26 who went on to win Super Bowl XXXIII that same year; they have yet to return to the Super Bowl since then but did win another division title led by current head coach Rex Ryan and quarterback Mark Sanchez 9 years later during his first year as starter after leading his squad to an 11–5 record which resulted into a Wild Card berth during 2010 NFL playoffs losing at home 28-21 against Peyton Manning’s Indianapolis Colts who eventually went on to win that year’s Super Bowl XLIV defeating Drew Brees’ New Orleans Saints 31-17; this was also Sanchez’s only playoff appearance during his first 4 seasons with Gang Green from 2009 till 2012.

The franchise was established in 1933 as a replacement for the bankrupt Frankford Yellow Jackets, when a group led by Bert Bell secured the rights to an NFL franchise in Philadelphia.
