Wondering what NFL teams won yesterday? Check out this quick recap of all the action from Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) North division. It is the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919, and is the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team based in the United States. Home games have been played at Lambeau Field since 1957.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots won yesterday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. The final score was 28-0.
New Orleans Saints
On Sunday, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers 31-26, earning their sixth straight win and clinching the NFC South division title. The Saints were led by quarterback Drew Brees, who threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. Wide receiver Michael Thomas had another strong performance, catching nine passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. With the win, the Saints improved to 11-4 on the season and will now host a playoff game next weekend.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Steelers compete in the National Football League (NFL), as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) North division. Founded in 1933, the Steelers are the oldest franchise in the AFC.
In contrast with their status as perennial also-rans in the pre-merger NFL, where they were characterized by their blue-collar work ethic and traditional “steel town” values, since the 70s the Steelers have been one of the most successful NFL franchises. They have won more Super Bowl titles (6), hosted more conference championship games (11), and amassed more victories (30) than any other NFL team during that period. As of 2020, their victory total stands at 656 (529 regular season victories and 127 playoff victories), which is more than any other NFL franchise except for the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.[10] The Steelers share the record for second most Super Bowl appearances with the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, tied behind Dallas Cowboys’ eight appearances. The Steelers lost their most recent championship appearance, Super Bowl XLIII, on February 1, 2009.
