Have you ever wondered which Patriots are in the NFL Hall of Fame? Here’s a list of all the Patriots who have made it to the Hall.
Patriots in the NFL Hall of Fame
The Patriots have had many great players over the years and some of them have even been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Let’s take a look at the Patriots who are in the NFL Hall of Fame.
Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick is an American football coach who is the head coach of the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He is one of only four head coaches to win five Super Bowls, and he did it with one team, the Patriots. He has been head coach of the Patriots since 2000 and has led them to 18 division titles, 12 conference championships, and nine Super Bowl appearances, including seven wins. Belichick has also been named NFL Coach of the Year three times.
Tom Brady
Tom Brady is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played 20 seasons for the New England Patriots, where he was a central figure of their dynasty that won six Super Bowls. After winning his seventh Super Bowl title in February 2021, Brady surpassed Roger Staubach and Charles Haley for the most NFL championships by a player with a single franchise, and now has the most total wins (including playoffs) by an NFL quarterback.
Rob Gronkowski
Rob Gronkowski, one of the most dominant players in NFL history, was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played his entire career with the Patriots, winning three Super Bowls and earning five Pro Bowl selections. Gronkowski was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2019 and the NFL Hall of Fame in 2020.
Other notable Patriots
The New England Patriots have had a few players that have been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. These Patriots have made their mark on the game and have been recognized for their outstanding careers.
Wes Welker
A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Welker holds NFL records for single-season and career reception yardage by an undrafted player. He also is second in career receptions and tenth in career receiving yards.
Randy Moss
Randy Moss is a former wide receiver who played for the Minnesota Vikings, the New England Patriots, the Oakland Raiders, and the San Francisco 49ers. He is considered one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, and he currently holds the NFL record for most receiving touchdowns in a season.
Tedy Bruschi
Modern-day linebackers who can do it all are often referred to as “Tedy Bruschi-type” players. A star at the University of Arizona, the 6-1, 247-pound Bruschi was originally signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 1996. He proved to be an instant impact player, registering 21 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles while starting two of the 16 games he played as a rookie.
The following season, Bruschi was a key cog in a Patriots defense that allowed a league-low 165 points en route to winning Super Bowl XXXI. He started all 16 regular season games and both playoff contests, finishing with 81 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions.
Bruschi’s best statistical season came in 2003, when he recorded career highs in tackles (134) and sacks (8.5) while also forcing four fumbles and intercepting two passes. He was named to his first Pro Bowl as a result of his outstanding play that year.
In 2005, Bruschi suffered a stroke less than a week after playing in the Pro Bowl but remarkably returned to the field less than eight months later. He started all 16 regular season games and both playoff contests that year, recording 109 tackles, three sacks and one interception while helping the Patriots win their third Super Bowl title in four years.
Tragically, Bruschi’s 2007 season was cut short after he suffered another stroke during training camp. He ultimately decided to retire from football shortly thereafter but remained close to the game by serving as an analyst for ESPN.
