The 2020 NBA Playoffs are upon us. This year’s playoffs will be different than any other in history. With the COVID-19 pandemic taking over the world, the NBA has had to make some major changes. The playoffs will be played in a bubble at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The teams
The 2020 NBA Playoffs will begin on April 18th. The playoffs will end on June 17th, with the 2020 NBA Finals.

The matchups
As the NBA regular season comes to a close, the stage is set for the 2020 NBA Playoffs.
The matchups are as follows:
In the Western Conference, the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers will take on the eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers. The second-seeded Denver Nuggets will take on the seventh-seeded Utah Jazz. The third-seeded Houston Rockets will take on the sixth-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder. Lastly, in what may be the most intriguing matchup of them all, the fourth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers will take on the fifth-seeded Dallas Mavericks.
In the Eastern Conference, the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks will take on the eighth-seeded Orlando Magic. The second-seeded Toronto Raptors will take on the seventh-seeded Brooklyn Nets. The third-seeded Boston Celtics will take on the sixth- seeded Philadelphia 76ers. Lastly, in what may be the most intriguing matchup of them all,
the fourth-seeded Miami Heat will take on the fifth- seeded Indiana Pacers.
The 2020 NBA Finals
It’s that time of year again! The NBA playoffs are in full swing and we are down to the last two teams standing. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat are both vying for the championship title. Who will come out on top?
The teams
of the eight teams that qualified for the 2020 NBA playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Toronto Raptors received the top three seeds respectively. They were then followed by the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and Utah Jazz.
The matchup
The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Finals. The best-of-seven series will begin on Wednesday, October 7th in Orlando, Florida.
This will be the first time these two teams have met in the Finals since 2010, when the Lakers beat the Heat in seven games. The matchup will feature some of the league’s biggest stars, including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Jimmy Butler.
The Lakers are coming into the series as the heavy favorites, having won all three of their playoff series so far. They’re also looking to revenge their loss in last year’s Finals to the Toronto Raptors.
The Heat, on the other hand, are making their first appearance in the Finals since 2014. They’ll be looking to upset the Lakers and win their first championship since 2006.
