It’s never too early to start thinking about the NFL playoffs and which teams will be in contention. Here’s a look at the teams that could make a run at the Lombardi Trophy in 2022.

AFC Playoffs

The AFC playoffs for the 2022 season will feature the top six seeds from the AFC. The playoff schedule is as follows:

Baltimore Ravens

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division.

The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL as a result of the merger in 1970. The team is valued at over $2 billion. The NFC Playoffs for the 2022 NFL season will begin on January 8, 2022. The NFC playoffs will consist of six teams, with the four division winners and two wild card teams. The NFC divisional playoffs will be held on January 15, 2022, and the NFC Championship game will be held on January 22, 2022.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Rams compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The Rams franchise was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams in the short-lived second American Football League (AFL) before joining the NFL the next year. In 1946, the franchise moved to Los Angeles. The Rams franchise remained in the metro area until 1994, when they moved to Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, California. The team returned to Los Angeles in 2016, relocating to SoFi Stadium (formerly under construction and ticketed for opening day 2020, though due to COVID-19 it was pushed back to 2021).
