It’s that time of year again when the NFL playoffs are in full swing. Who are the teams that are still in the running for the coveted Super Bowl title?
AFC
The first team that has clinched a playoff berth is the Baltimore Ravens. They have done so by earning the AFC North division title. The New England Patriots have also clinched a playoff berth by winning the AFC East division title. These are the two teams that have clinched a playoff berth so far in the AFC.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston metropolitan area. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is located 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.
Pittsburgh Steelers

The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL as a result of the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team is valued at over $2 billion. Hunt’s son, Clark, serves as chairman and CEO.
The Chiefs have won three AFL championships, in 1962, 1966, and 1969. They became the second AFL team (after the New York Jets) to defeat an NFL team in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. Mecom Jr., David Dixon and the city of New Orleans on November 1, 1966. The Saints began play in Tulane Stadium in 1967.

Sheen in 1966. Planned by local entrepreneur Dave Dixon, involves competitive tryouts to find local talent and working with NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle to recruit other players as well, who had no significant experience in the sport; Stan Brock was recruited from Canada as a rookie free agent quarterback two weeks before the season began. Dixon and his partners then sold shares of the team to many investors to raise funds for stadium construction and initial operating expenses.
