What Teams Are Still In The NFL Playoffs?

It’s that time of year again! The NFL playoffs are underway and we’re here to give you a rundown of all the teams still in the running.

AFC

The AFC teams that are still in the NFL playoffs are the Baltimore Ravens, the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the New England Patriots. All four of these teams have had great seasons and they will all be fighting for a chance to go to the Super Bowl.

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The Ravens were established in 1996, when Art Modell, who was then the owner of the Cleveland Browns, announced plans to relocate the franchise to Baltimore in 1997. As part of a settlement between Modell and the city of Cleveland, the Browns’ intellectual property—including team name, logos, training facility, and history—were kept in trust and the franchise was regarded by the NFL as suspended; when Modell officially announced the move on November 6, 1995, he was officially renounced by Browns fans. The Ravens have qualified for the NFL playoffs 11 times since 2000, with two Super Bowl victories (Super Bowl XXXV and Super Bowl XLVII), two AFC Championship appearances (2000 and 2012), 15 playoff victories (tied for 9th all time), and four AFC North division championships (2003, 2006, 2011, and 2012). The Ravens organization was led by general manager Ozzie Newsome from 1996 until his retirement following the 2018 season. He was succeeded by Eric DeCosta; Newsome has served as an advisor to DeCosta during his first season as GM. Head coach John Harbaugh has led the team since 2008.

The team is valued at over $2 billion.Hunt’s son, Clark, serves as chairman and CEO of the team. While Hunt’s ownership stake is dwarves by those of other NFL teams, he is still one of the wealthiest owners in the league.

The Chiefs have won three AFL championships, in 1962, 1966, and 1969. They became the second AFL team (after New York Jets) to defeat an NFL team in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game when they defeated Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. The team’s victory on January 11, 1970 remains the club’s last championship game appearance to date and occurred following their entering the NFL after alleged signing violations led to mass resignations by several key players and staff during 1969. The Chiefs were also the first team to win a Super Bowl after losing a Super Bowl (IV). They have won more Super Bowl titles (six), hosted more conference championship games (eleven), and produced more Pro Football Hall of Famers (32) than any other NFL franchise. Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks will go head-to-head in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs. The Cowboys are the number four seed in the NFC, while the Seahawks are the number five seed.

This will be a rematch of a regular season contest that saw the Cowboys come out on top 24-22. In that game, Dak Prescott threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, while Russell Wilson was intercepted twice.

The Seahawks will be without star running back Chris Carson, who rushed for over 1,000 yards this season. They will also be without linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who is suspended for this game.

The Cowboys are slight favorites to win this game, but it is sure to be a close contest.
