NFL Playoff Games on TV

The NFL playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the regular season to determine the NFL champion. As of 2020, there are 14 teams in the playoffs: the seven winners of each conference’s divisional round (the top seed in each conference receives a bye in the divisional round), and two wild card teams (the two remaining teams with the best records). Seeding is based on each team’s record during the regular season.

In each round, certain teams receive a bye that entitles them to advance to the next round without having to play. In the first round, this applies only to the top seed in each conference, which automatically advances to the divisional round. In later rounds, it also applies to any team that has already qualified for that particular round by virtue of its seeding. For example, if the fourth seed in a conference has a better record than any of the other three remaining playoff teams, it would receive a bye in the first round even though it is not one of the top two seeds. This seeding can cause some games in early rounds to be more lopsided than usual because one team may have an easier time winning than if there was no bye.

The NFL playoffs are scheduled over three weekends in January: Wild Card Weekend (when four games are played), Divisional Playoff weekend (two games) and Conference Championship weekend (two games). The Super Bowl is then played on Sunday, February 2nd.

NFL Playoff Predictions

The NFL playoffs are here and there are some great games on tap for today. The first game of the day features the New Orleans Saints taking on the Carolina Panthers. This should be a great game with two evenly matched teams. The second game of the day is another NFC match up between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings.

AFC Playoff Predictions

The AFC playoff field is set, and it’s time to make our predictions for how things will shake out.

The No. 1 seed Kansas City Chiefs are the heavy favorite to win the conference, but the other seven teams all have a chance to make a run to the Super Bowl.

Here’s a look at our predictions for how the AFC playoffs will unfold:

Wild Card Round

No. 6 Indianapolis Colts at No. 3 Houston Texans
The Colts are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, winning nine of their last 10 games. They have a balanced offense and a stingy defense, and they’re peaking at the right time. The Texans have been up and down all season, but they’re a dangerous team with Deshaun Watson under center. However, we think the Colts will pull off the upset on Saturday.

Prediction: Colts 24, Texans 23

No. 5 Baltimore Ravens at No. 4 Los Angeles Chargers
The Ravens are another team that’s been on fire lately, winning six in a row behind rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson. They have a dynamic rushing attack and a defense that’s playing its best football of the season. The Chargers were one of the best teams in the NFL for most of the year, but they struggled down the stretch and lost their last two games. With that said, we think they’ll turn things around and get past the Ravens on Sunday.
Prediction: Chargers 27, Ravens 20

NFC Playoff Predictions

The National Football Conference (NFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL), the highest professional level of American football in the world. This conference and its counterpart, the American Football Conference (AFC), currently contain 16 teams each, making up a total of 32 teams in the NFL. NBC has broadcast rights to all NFC playoff games.

NFC Playoff Predictions:
1. Los Angeles Rams
2. Green Bay Packers
3. New Orleans Saints
4. Dallas Cowboys
