Round Two of the NFL Draft

The NFL Draft continues on Friday with Round Two beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET. For those that may have missed it, here is a quick recap of how Round One played out. 32 total prospects were selected in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.

What time does it start?

Round two of the 2020 NFL Draft begins at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, April 24.
ESPN and NFL Network will televise rounds two and three, with ABC broadcasting rounds four through seven on Saturday, April 25.

The second and third rounds will each be two hours long. The draft order for round two is the same as it was for round one, with the team that holds the No. 32 overall pick going first.

Like in round one, each team will have seven minutes to make its selection in rounds two and three.

Who will be drafted?

The NFL Draft is one of the most exciting events of the year for football fans. This is the time when all 32 teams have a chance to improve their rosters by selecting the best college football players in the country.

The first round of the NFL Draft usually takes place on a Thursday night in late April or early May, and rounds 2 and 3 are held on the following Friday night. The draft then continues on Saturday with rounds 4-7.

This year, the NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 25th at 8:00 PM ET (5:00 PM PT), and rounds 2 and 3 will take place on Friday, April 26th at 7:00 PM ET (4:00 PM PT). Rounds 4-7 will take place on Saturday, April 27th at 12:00 PM ET (9:00 AM PT).

Some of the top prospects who are expected to be drafted in the first round include quarterbacks Jared Goff and Carson Wentz, defensive end Joey Bosa, and running back Ezekiel Elliott.

NFL Draft

Round two of the NFL draft starts at 7:00 p.m. EST on Friday, April 28. The first round was on Thursday, April 27. The draft will be held in Chicago, Illinois at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University.

What is it?

The National Football League Draft is an annual event in which the NFL’s 32 teams select eligible college football players. Every year, the draft is held in late April or early May. The 2020 NFL Draft will be held from April 23-25.

The draft consists of seven rounds, and each team gets one pick in each round. The order of picks is determined by a combination of two things:
-where the team finished in the standings the previous year
-whether the team won or lost in the playoffs

So, for example, the team that finished with the worst record in the NFL last year (the Cincinnati Bengals) will get the first pick in the draft. The team that won the Super Bowl last year (the New England Patriots) will get the 32nd and final pick of the first round.

In recent years, there have been rumors that the NFL might expand the draft to include more rounds, but nothing has come of it so far.

Who participates?

All 32 NFL teams are represented in the draft, with each team taking turns selecting eligible players. In total, 256 players are drafted over seven rounds.

The first round of the NFL draft is reserved for the teams that did not make the playoffs in the previous season. These selections are made in reverse order of the previous season’s standings, with the worst team picking first and the best team picking last.

In rounds two through seven, teams pick in reverse order of their standing from the previous season, regardless of whether they made the playoffs. So if a team had a better record than other teams in its conference but missed out on the playoffs, it would still pick behind those conference foes that did make it to postseason play.

Mock Drafts

The 2021 NFL Draft is finally here. It starts tonight at 8 p.m. ET with the first round and will continue through Saturday. Rounds 2-3 will start at 7 p.m. ET on Friday night. Here’s everything you need to know about the NFL Draft, including a full mock draft for all seven rounds.

What are they?

Mock drafts are an exercise in futility. Fans, analysts and even front office personnel all have their own ideas about how the draft will play out, but the truth is that nobody really knows. The NFL Draft is an inherently unpredictable event, and that’s what makes it so exciting.

A mock draft is simply a prediction of how the first round of the NFL Draft will unfold. It’s fun to speculate about which team will draft which player, but at the end of the day, Mock drafts are little more than educated guesses.

That said, Mock drafts can be informative. They can give us an idea of which players are being talked about as first-round picks, and they can also give us an idea of what teams might be thinking about drafting in a particular year.

If you’re looking for a way to pass the time between now and the NFL Draft, then looking at some mock drafts is a good way to do it. Just don’t take them too seriously!

Who creates them?

Mock drafts are created by a variety of sports media outlets, but most notably ESPN, CBS Sports, NFL.com and Bleacher Report. As the NFL Draft approaches, these sites will release their latest mock drafts, which often look very different from each other.
