What is the NBA Skills Challenge?
The NBA Skills Challenge is an All-Star Weekend event that features six of the best ball-handlers in the league going head-to-head in a shootout-style competition. The event will take place on Saturday, February 16th at 8:00 PM ET.
The Skills Challenge has been a part of All-Star Weekend since 2003, and has featured some of the best players in the league. This year’s field includes Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Hornets, Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets, Seth Curry of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Lauri Markkanen of the Chicago Bulls.
The Skills Challenge is a two-round event, with the six participants being seeded based on their shooting percentage from three-point range. The first round will be a head-to-head format, with the three highest seeds getting a bye to the second round. The second round will be a single elimination tournament.
The winner of the Skills Challenge will receive $25,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.
Who is in the NBA Skills Challenge?
