What Times Are The NFL Playoff Games?

The NFL playoffs are upon us and we all want to know what time the games are so we can plan our viewing schedule accordingly. Here is a handy guide to help you out.

NFL Playoff Games

The NFL playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the end of the National Football League (NFL) regular season to determine the NFL champion. Six teams from each of the league’s two conferences qualify for the playoffs. The tournament culminates in the Super Bowl, the league’s championship game.

AFC Wild Card Playoffs:

The first round of the playoffs is the AFC and NFC Wild Card Playoffs. These four games will be played on Saturday, January 4 and Sunday, January 5. The first game will be held at 4:35pm EST on Saturday and will feature the AFC’s fifth seed Buffalo Bills at the fourth seed Houston Texans. The second game on Saturday will be at 8:15pm EST and feature the NFC’s sixth seed Minnesota Vikings at the third seed New Orleans Saints.

On Sunday, January 5, the first game will be at 1:05pm EST featuring the AFC’s third seed Baltimore Ravens at the second seed Tennessee Titans. The final game of wild card weekend will be at 4:40pm EST and feature the NFC’s fourth seed Seattle Seahawks at the first seed Philadelphia Eagles.

NFC Wild Card Playoffs:

The NFC Wild Card Playoffs will be held on Saturday, January 5th and Sunday, January 6th. The following times are Eastern Standard Time.

Saturday, January 5th:
-4:30 p.m.: Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (NBC)
-8:00 p.m.: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Football Team (ABC/ESPN)

Sunday, January 6th:
-1:00 p.m.: Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans (CBS)
-4:30 p.m.: New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears (NBC)

AFC Divisional Playoffs:

The four divisional playoff games will be played on Saturday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 17. The AFC divisional playoffs will feature the No. 1 seed Kansas City Chiefs hosting the No. 6 seed Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 3:05 p.m. ET on NBC . On the other side of the bracket, the No. 2 seed Baltimore Ravens will host the No. 5 seed Tennessee Titans at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, Jan 17 at 1:05 p.m. ET on CBS . NFC Divisional Playoffs: The NFC divisional playoffs will begin on Saturday, Jan 16 when the No 2 seed Green Bay Packers host the No. 6 Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field at 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC . Later that night, the Seattle Seahawks — who defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild card round — will travel to take on the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium at 4:35 p.m. ET , which will be broadcast by Fox . NFC Divisional Playoffs:

The NFC Divisional Playoffs will begin on Saturday, January 16th. The first game will be between the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys. This game will be played at 4:35pm ET. The second game on Saturday will be between the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons. This game will be played at 8:15pm ET.

On Sunday, January 17th, the first game will be between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs. This game will be played at 1:05pm ET. The second game on Sunday will be between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. This game will be played at 4:40pm ET.

AFC Championship Game:

The AFC Championship game will feature the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. The game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The game is scheduled to start at 6:40 PM EST on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

NFC Championship Game:

The Los Angeles Rams will take on the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game on Sunday, January 20th at 3:05pm ET. The game will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana and will be televised on Fox.

NFL Playoff Bracket

There are four NFL Playoff games. The first game is the Wild Card game, the second game is the Divisional game, the third game is the Conference game, and the fourth game is the Super Bowl.

AFC Wild Card Playoffs

The AFC Wild Card Playoffs are the first round of the NFL’s playoffs.

The four teams with the best record in each conference who did not win their division qualified for the playoffs. The two Wild Card teams in each conference played each other in the Wild Card round. The winners of those two games then advanced to play the one and two seeds in their conference in the Divisional Playoffs.

NFC Wild Card Playoffs

The Wild Card round features two NFL games on Saturday followed by two on Sunday.

The first game on Saturday will be played at 4:35 p.m. ET between the Los Angeles Rams and the Atlanta Falcons at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and will be broadcast on NBC. The second game that day will be played at 8:15 p.m. ET between the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and will be broadcast on ESPN.

On Sunday, January 7th, the first game will be played at 1:05 p.m. ET between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, and will be broadcast on CBS. The second game that day will be played at 4:40 p.m. ET between the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, and will be broadcast on ABC/ESPN.

AFC Divisional Playoffs

The AFC divisional playoffs will begin on Saturday, January 16, 2021. The first game will start at 1:05 p.m. ET and will be between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. The second game will start at 4:40 p.m. ET and will be between the Cleveland Browns and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The AFC divisional playoffs will continue on Sunday, January 17, 2021. The first game will start at 1:05 p.m. ET and will be between the Indianapolis Colts and the Los Angeles Rams. The second game will start at 4:40 p.m. ET and will be between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The AFC Championship game will be played on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. ET.

NFC Divisional Playoffs

The National Football League (NFL) playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the regular season to determine the NFL champion. From 1967 to 1969, prior to the merger with the American Football League (AFL), the NFL determined privilege to hosting playoff games via a yearly rotation of AFC–NFC teams. Over this period, games were played on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

In 1971, the AFL–NFL merger took full effect, and playoff games began being held on Sunday afternoon. This continued through 1977, when the league began adding a second wild card team from each conference, necessitating conference-specific playoffs on Saturday and Sunday (or Saturday alone). The result was two additional wild card playoff games, and four total per weekend (rather than three in the pre-wild card era).

From 1978 through 1989, four divisional playoff games were played each year on both days. In some cases (e.g., 1986), this resulted in having one game played on each day during a particular weekend; in others (e.g., 1988), both games during one day were for one conference only (i.e., two AFC games followed by two NFC games).

In 1990, 91, and 93–95 three divisional playoff games were played on both days; in those years an additional wild card game was added as well so that there would be four per day. This format continued until 2012; beginning with 2013’s playoffs there have been two divisional playoff games held each Saturday and two each Sunday.

AFC Championship Game

The AFC Championship game is the annual championship game of the American Football Conference (AFC) and one of the two semi-final playoff games of the National Football League (NFL), the largest professional American football league in the United States. The game is played on the Sunday preceding the Super Bowl, and determines which team from the AFC will represent the conference in the Super Bowl. The winner then advances to face the winner of the NFC Championship game in the Super Bowl.

In recent history, most AFC Championship games have been played at neutral sites, such as in Indianapolis, Pennsylvania, and Florida. However, two games –
the 1998 and 2021 contests – were held at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, due to cold weather concerns. The 2014 contest was also held at a neutral site because multiple scheduling conflicts prevented any one stadium from hosting both conference championship games on the same weekend (as per NFL rules).

NFC Championship Game
