More and more NHL fans are turning to online streaming to watch their favorite teams. There are a number of reasons for this, but the most common one is probably convenience. Online streaming allows you to watch any game you want, from anywhere in the world, without having to worry about what channel it’s on.
There are a number of different online streaming services available, but the most popular one is probably NBC Sports Gold. NBC Sports Gold gives you access to all of NBC’s NHL coverage, as well as coverage from other leagues like the Premier League and Champions League. The service is available on a variety of platforms, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and more.
If you’re looking for an alternative to NBC Sports Gold, there are a few other options available. One option is NHL.tv, which is the official streaming service of the NHL. NHL.tv gives you access to every out-of-market game, as well as some on-demand content. Another option is ESPN+, which offers a variety of live sports coverage, including NHL games. ESPN
ESPN is a U.S.-based global cable and satellite television channel that is owned by ESPN Inc., a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company (which owns a controlling 80% stake) and the Hearst Communications (which owns 20%). ESPN broadcasts primarily from studio facilities located in Bristol, Connecticut.
Games televised
The NHL regular season begins on October 4th, with 31 teams set to play an 82 game schedule.
One of the best things about the NHL regular season is the vast number of games that are televised. Games are shown on networks such as NBC, NBCSN, NHL Network, ESPN+, and even regional sports networks in some areas.
With so many games being televised, it can be tough to keep track of which channels are carrying which games. That’s why we’ve put together a guide of all the channels that will be televising NHL games this season.
NBC and NBCSN will once again be the primary home of NHL hockey this season. NBC will carry 16 regular season games, with all but two of those being national broadcasts. Nine of those 16 games will feature at least one Original Six team.
NHL Network will also have a significant presence this season, televising 61 games. Most of those games will be simulcasts of either NBC or NBCSN broadcasts, but there are also a handful of exclusive games that will only be available on NHL Network.
For fans who want even more hockey, ESPN+ will once again offer a “Game of the Day” throughout the season. That game will typically start at 7 PM ET and will feature two teams from different conferences.
Finally, regional sports networks around the country will carrylive games for local fans to enjoy. In some cases, these games may also be available on national platforms like NBC Sports Regional Networks or FOX Sports Regional Networks.
Online streaming
ESPN+ is a direct-to-consumer streaming service from The Walt Disney Company’s ESPN, launched in April 2018. It features extensive live sports coverage of college sports, international cricket, Grand Slam tennis, rugby union and more, as well as original programming such as 30 for 30 documentaries and fantasy sports-themed shows.
In order to reflect its more diverse array of content, ESPN’s branding on the service has shifted away from traditional “TV Everywhere” guidelines, and is now branded with the same logo and colors used by its other digital properties. ESPN+ is available through the ESPN app on all major mobile and connected TV platforms (including iOS, Android, Roku, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Amazon Fire TV), as well as on the web at espn.com/plus.
ESPN+ is also integrated into ESPN’s main app, giving users the ability to sign up for and watch live events without having to download a separate app.

Dedicated to coverage of the National Hockey League, it was launched on October 1, 2007. The channel’s headquarters and primary studios are based in the Secaucus, New Jersey facility shared with MLB Network, which originally used facilities leased from MSG Networks before moving in early 2019.
Online streaming
NHL hockey fans can now watch their favorite team online without having to worry about what TV channel the game is on. The NHL Network has launched a new online streaming service that allows fans to watch live games and replays, as well as other exclusive content, from their computer or mobile device.
The NHL Network’s online streaming service is available through the NHL website and the NHL app for iOS and Android devices. A subscription to the service costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year, and gives fans access to live games, replays of games, highlights, and other exclusive content.
The NHL app also gives users the ability to set up alerts for their favorite team so they never miss a game, as well as access to live stats, standings, and schedules.
