The NFL playoffs are finally here! After a long regular season, the playoffs are where things really heat up. This year’s playoff games are sure to be exciting, so be sure to catch them all. Here is a rundown of when and where the games will be played.

What teams are in the NFL playoffs?

4 AFC teams and 4 NFC teams will make the playoffs each year. The NFL playoff brackets are set after the regular season ends. Wild card weekend is when the first 2 games of each conference are played. The divisional round is the following weekend when the 4 division winners from each conference play each other. The conference championships are then held on the following weekend. And finally, the Super Bowl is held on the first Sunday in February every year.

How did they get there?

The NFL playoff games this weekend will feature the four highest ranked teams in each conference. These teams have fought their way through a grueling regular season and earned their spot in the playoffs.

The first round of the playoffs, known as the Wild Card round, will take place on Saturday, January 4th and Sunday, January 5th. The games on Saturday will feature the AFC #5 seed at the AFC #4 seed, and the NFC #5 seed at the NFC #4 seed. The games on Sunday will feature the AFC #6 seed at the AFC #3 seed, and the NFC #6 seed at the NFC #3 seed.

The winners of these four games will advance to the Divisional round of the playoffs, which will take place on Saturday, January 11th and Sunday, January 12th. The Divisional round is when things really start to heat up, as it features some of the best match-ups of the entire playoffs. On Saturday, it will be the AFC #1 seed vs. the lowest remaining seed from Wild Card weekend, and the NFC #1 seed vs. the lowest remaining seed from Wild Card weekend. Then on Sunday, it will be
the AFC #2 seed vs. highest remaining Wild Card team, and then finally the NFC #2 see vs. highest remaining Wild Card team.

The Conference Championships are set for Sunday, January 19th. The AFC Championship game will pit together whichever two teams come out of divisional play from that conference, while the NFC Championship game will do likewise with its two participants.

Finally, Super Bowl LIII is scheduled for Sunday February 3rd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. This game will determine which team is crowned champion of not only this season but all of last season as well, as whoever wins this game will hoist Lombardi Trophy as Super Bowl champions!

Who is playing whom?

The NFL Conference Championships are set, and it’s the New England Patriots vs. the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC, and the Los Angeles Rams vs. the New Orleans Saints in the NFC. Both games will be played on Sunday, Jan. 20.

NFL Wild Card Weekend begins Saturday, Jan. 5 at 4:35 p.m. ET with the AFC’s No. 6 seed Indianapolis Colts (10-6) at the AFC’s No. 3 seed Houston Texans (11-5). That game will be followed by the NFC’s No. 5 seed Seattle Seahawks (10-6) at the NFC’s No. 4 seed Dallas Cowboys (10-6) at 8:15 p.m. ET.

On Sunday, Jan. 6, the NFC matchup features the No. 6 seed Minnesota Vikings (10-6) at the NFC’s No. 3 seed Los Angeles Rams (13-3) at 1:05 p.m., followed by the AFC contest with the No. 5 seed Baltimore Ravens (10-6) at the AFC’s No 2 seed Kansas City Chiefs (12-4) at 4:40 p.m

This year’s NFL playoffs will air on both CBS and FOX, with the games also streaming on fuboTV (Try for free). Of the four AFC Wild Card games, two will be on CBS and two will be on FOX.
