Sheamus’ WWE Debut
Sheamus made his WWE debut on the June 1, 2009 episode of WWE Raw, interrupting a match between CM Punk and Kane. Sheamus quickly attacked both men, then declared himself the “new champion” of the WWE. Sheamus’ WWE debut was a surprise to many fans, as he was not originally announced as a part of the Raw roster.

Sheamus made his WWE television debut on the November 28, 2009, episode of ECW as a member of Theodore Long’s New Superstars of ECW faction. In his debut match on the December 1 episode of ECW, Sheamus defeated local competitor Chad Bruton following a Brogue Kick.

Sheamus made his television debut on the November 1, 2009 episode of WWE RAW, where he confronted then-WWE Champion John Cena. In his first promo, Sheamus stated that he was there to “shake things up” and that he wanted to face Cena for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series.

The feud continued over the next few weeks, with Sheamus winning another match between the two on November 17. Two weeks later, on December 1, Noble defeated Sheamus in a steel cage match to end the feud.

Sheamus first debuted in WWE in 2009, but he had been wrestling on the independent circuit in Ireland for a few years before that.
