When Does Mississippi State Play Baseball?
Mississippi State baseball will open the 2019 season on February 15th at home against Jacksonville State.

2019 Season
The 2019 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball season will begin on February 15, 2019, when they take on the UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns. The team will play its home games at Dudy Noble Field, Polk-DeMent Stadium. They will look to improve upon their 2018 season in which they went 39-27 overall and 15-15 in SEC play.
Schedule
Mississippi State will open the 2019 season on Friday, February 15, with a three-game series against Omaha at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville. The Bulldogs will then host North Dakota State for a three-game series from February 22-24.
March will see the Bulldogs hit the road for a three-game series at UL Lafayette (March 1-3) before returning home to host George Mason (March 8-10) and Southeast Missouri State (March 15-17). After a midweek contest at Memphis on March 19, MSU will open SEC play by hosting Vanderbilt (March 22-24).
The Bulldogs will then travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on Arkansas (March 29-31) before returning home to host Tennessee (April 5-7). MSU will hit the road again for a three-game series at Auburn (April 12-14) before hosting Florida Atlantic (April 16), Mississippi Valley State (April 17) and No. 1 Florida (April 19-21).
Following a trip to No. 5 LSU (April 26-28), the Bulldogs will return home to host Alabama A&M (May 1) and Samford (May 3-5). MSU will wrap up its regular season schedule with a six-game homestand, which includes games against No. 8 Ole Miss (May 10-12), No. 4 Georgia (May 17-19) and Arkansas State (May 21).
Results
The Bulldogs began the 2019 season ranked No. 5 in the nation by Baseball America, their highest preseason ranking in program history. They finished the season 43–20 overall, 19–11 in SEC play to finish in a tie for second place in the SEC West division. The Bulldogs qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament as a national seed and as the No. 2 seed in the Tallahassee Regional. They defeated Jacksonville State twice to win the regional and advanced to face Florida State in the Tallahassee Super Regional. After winning Game 1, they lost Game 2 and then won Game 3 to advance to the College World Series, their first appearance since 2007 and sixth overall. In Omaha, they were runners-up of both their Bracket 2 and winner’s bracket, losing to Arkansas twice before being eliminated from the tournament with a 7–6 loss to Auburn.
2018 Season
