The LSU Tigers baseball team represents Louisiana State University in NCAA Division I college baseball. The Tigers compete in the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They are currently coached by Paul Mainieri and play their home games at Alex Box Stadium, which opened in 1938 and since 2008 has a seating capacity of 11,500.
The LSU Tigers are one of the most successful college baseball programs in NCAA history. The program has had 28 College World Series appearances (second all-time), 12 CWS Championships (tied for first all-time), and 27 SEC Championships (second all-time). As of the end of the 2019 season, LSU has appeared in 1,945 games with a record of 1,365–573–17 (.702).
