It’s that time of year again – the NFL Draft is just around the corner! While the first round gets all the attention, the second round is when things really start to heat up. So when is the second round of the NFL Draft?

The second round of the NFL Draft is set to begin on Friday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m. ET. The second round will last for seven rounds, with each team having one pick in each round. A total of 32 picks will be made in the second round of the draft.
The NFL Draft is a seven-round process
The NFL Draft is a seven-round process, with each team getting one pick in each of the first six rounds and then two picks in the seventh round. The order of picks in each round is determined by the previous season’s order of finish, with the team that finished last getting the first pick in each round (the so-called “first overall pick”) and the Super Bowl winner getting the last pick in each round (32nd overall).

The order for the second and third rounds is identical to the order used in the first round, with the only difference being that teams that had losing records in the previous season pick ahead of teams with winning records.

On Friday, the second and third rounds will take place. The second round is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EDT, with the third round slated to start at approximately 9 p.m. EDT. The second round will feature 32 picks, while the third round will have 31 selections.
As was the case with the first round, teams will have seven minutes to make their selection in the second and third rounds. If a team fails to make its pick within that seven-minute window, it will forfeit its selection for that particular round.

The second round of the NFL draft will take place on Friday, April 27th at 7:00 PM EDT. The second round will consist of 33 picks, with the order reversing from the first round. The first round of the NFL draft will take place on Thursday, April 26th at 8:00 PM EDT.

The second and third rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft will be held Friday, April 26. The second round begins at 7 p.m. ET. The draft will be televised live on ESPN, ESPN2 and NFL Network.
Eligible players for the 2019 NFL Draft include those who have been out of high school for at least three years and have used up their college eligibility, or those who graduated from high school early and have been out of high school for at least three years.

The second and third rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft will take place on Friday, April 24. The draft will resume at 7 p.m. EDT on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network.
