The National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals is the annual championship series of the NBA. The Eastern and Western conference champions play a best-of-seven game series to determine the league champion. The 2020 NBA Finals was the championship series of the 2019–20 NBA season and was played between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat, with the Lakers defeating the Heat in six games to win their 17th NBA championship. The series was held from October 5 to October 13, 2020, in Orlando, Florida, at Walt Disney World’s Wide World of Sports complex.
This was the first Finals since 2010 that did not include either LeBron James or Stephen Curry. Game 2 of the Finals was held on June 7, 2020, and was won by Los Angeles 114–112.
