1972 Miami Dolphins

The 1972 Miami Dolphins were the last NFL team to go undefeated, finishing the regular season with a perfect 14-0 record. They then won all three of their playoff games, including a Super Bowl victory over the Washington Redskins, to finish the season 17-0.

The Carolina Panthers were the last NFL team to go undefeated in a season. They did it in 2015, going 15-1 in the regular season before losing to the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl. The 2015 Carolina Panthers season was the franchise’s 21st season in the National Football League and the fifth under head coach Ron Rivera. They entered the season as the defending NFC champions, having defeated the Arizona Cardinals 49–15 in NFC Championship game. They finished the regular season with a 15–1 record, winning their second consecutive NFC South title and securing a first-round bye. They defeated the Seattle Seahawks 31–24 in the Divisional round and then won against the Arizona Cardinals 49–15 in the NFC Championship game. The Panthers lost to the Denver Broncos 24–10 in Super Bowl L.

2016 New England Patriots

The last time an NFL team went undefeated was during the 2016 regular season when the New England Patriots went 14-2. The Patriots also went on to win the Super Bowl that year, making them the first and only team to ever go 19-0.
