The player vote is conducted among all NBA players. Each player casts a ballot with their top 5 choices for All-Stars, regardless of conference or position – but they cannot vote for teammates. The players who receive the most votes from their peers are named All-Stars.

Once all 3 ballots are tabulated, the 24 highest scoring players – 12 from each conference – are named All-Stars and invited to participate in the game.
