When Will the NBA MVP Be Announced?

We’re just a few weeks away from the end of the NBA regular season, and that means it’s time to start thinking about who will take home the MVP award. Here are a few contenders for the title.

Introduction

The NBA MVP award is given to the best performing player in the regular season. The winner is selected by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada.

In order to be eligible, a player must have played in at least two-thirds of their team’s games.

The final ballots are due at the end of the regular season, and the winner is usually announced around mid-April.

When is the announcement made?

The date of the announcement has varied in recent years, but it is typically made in late April or early May, shortly after the end of the regular season.

Who are the finalists?

The three finalists for the NBA Most Valuable Player Award are Houston Rockets guard James Harden, New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The announcement of the winner will be made during the NBA Awards show on Monday, June 24 at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.

Harden is the favorite to win the award, as he led the league in scoring this season with an average of 30.4 points per game. He also averaged 8.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game while helping the Rockets to the best record in the league (65-17).

Davis had a breakout season for the Pelicans, averaging 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.6 blocks per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 33.9 percent from three-point range. He also set a new career high in points (56) against the Phoenix Suns in February.

Antetokounmpo averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 52.9 percent from the field and 30 percent from three-point range this season. He was named to his first All-Star team and led the Bucks to a 60-22 record, which was good for second best in the league behind only Houston’s 65-17 mark.”

Who are the favorites?

The NBA MVP will be announced on June 25th. The race is tight this year, with several players having strong cases for the award.

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is the favorite, according to most sportsbooks. He is followed by James Harden of the Houston Rockets and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Other contenders include Anthony Davis of the Lakers, Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets.
