When Will WWE 2K22 Come Out?

It’s been over a year since the last WWE 2K game came out, so fans are understandably wondering when WWE 2K22 will be released. While there’s no official word yet on when the game will come out, we can make some educated guesses based on the release schedule of previous games in the series.

Introduction

As of right now, there is no set release date for WWE 2K22. However, based on the release schedule of previous games in the series, it is safe to say that the game will come out sometime in the fall of 2021.

WWE 2K21 was released on October 27, 2020, so it is likely that WWE 2K22 will be released around the same time. However, this is merely speculation at this point.

As more information about WWE 2K22 is released, we will be sure to update this article.

What We Know So Far

WWE 2K22 is an upcoming professional wrestling video game that is being developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It is the twenty-second installment in the WWE 2K series, and is scheduled to be released on October 5, 2021 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

WWE 2K21 was Delayed

WWE 2K21 was supposed to come out in October 2020, but it was delayed. The most recent WWE game to come out was WWE 2K20, which came out in October 2019. It is unclear why WWE 2K21 was delayed, but it is likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is no word yet on when WWE 2K21 will come out, but it is expected to be sometime in 2021. Stay tuned for more updates on the release date of WWE 2K21.

WWE 2K22 is Rumored to be in Development

WWE 2K22 is rumored to be in development after a recent job listing from 2K Games.

The job listing, which has since been removed, was for a Senior Character Artist position on the WWE 2K team. The listing specifically mentioned that the team is working on “the next AAA wrestling game.”

While this doesn’t confirm that WWE 2K22 is in development, it does seem to suggest that 2K Games hasn’t given up on the franchise just yet.

The last WWE game to be released was WWE 2K20, which launched in October 2019. The game was met with largely negative reviews, due to its buggy and unpolished state. As a result of the poor reception, Take-Two Interactive (2K Games’ parent company) announced that there were no plans to release a WWE game in 2020.

However, it seems that Take-Two may have had a change of heart, as the company recently registered several new domain names related to the WWE franchise. This includes “WWE2K22.com,” “WWE2K23.com,” and “WWE2K24.com.”

While these domain names don’t necessarily mean that WWE 2K22, 23, and 24 are in development, it does suggest that Take-Two is at least considering continuing the franchise beyond WWE 2K20.
