Whens The Nba Back?

The NBA season is just around the corner, and we can’t wait! Here’s everything you need to know about when the games will start back up again.

Whens The Nba Back?

Introduction

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a professional basketball league in North America. The NBA was founded in 1946 as the Basketball Association of America (BAA). The league shortened its name to the National Basketball Association in 1949 after merging with the rival National Basketball League. The NBA is an active member of USA Basketball (USAB),[4] which is recognized by FIBA (also known as the International Basketball Federation) as the national governing body for basketball in the United States. NBA players are the world’s best paid athletes by average annual salary per player.

What Happened?

The NBA regular season was supposed to start on October 22, 2019. However, on October 19, the NBA announced that it would be postponing the start of the season due to “the ongoing labor dispute between the league and the National Basketball Players Association.”

When is the NBA Back?

The NBA is set to return on December 22, 2020.

How will the NBA look?

The NBA is planning to return on July 30th with 22 teams playing in a bubble at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. All games will be televised on ESPN and TNT.

The teams that will be participating are the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

There will be no fans in attendance and players will have to follow strict guidelines in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Some of these guidelines include: regular testing for COVID-19, wearing masks when not playing or working out and keeping a safe distance from others. Players will also be living in secluded hotels and they will only be able to leave the bubble for family emergencies.

Conclusion

The answer to when the NBA is back largely depends on the health and safety of the players and staff. If everything goes well, we could see the NBA back as early as December 2020. However, if there are any delays or setbacks, it is possible that the NBA will not return until early 2021.
