On January 12, 2016, it was announced that Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke had plans to build an 80,000-seat stadium in Inglewood, California,[5] on the site of the former Hollywood Park Racetrack .[6][7] Details of the stadium plan named it as part of a larger entertainment complex called Hollywood Park that would include a concert venue.[8] Construction officially began on November 17, 2016.[9][10]
