Where Can I Watch All The NHL Games?

Official NHL Channels

The National Hockey League offers a few ways to watch every out-of-market game live and in its entirety. Here’s a look at the channels that offer NHL action and what they include.

NHL Center Ice

NHL Center Ice is an out-of-market sports package that allows viewers in the United States and Canada to watch up to 40 out-of-market National Hockey League games a week. NHL Center Ice is produced by Comcast and is available through most cable and satellite providers. The package includes future game broadcasts, condensed game replays, and live coverage of special events such as the NHL All-Star Game and Stanley Cup playoffs.

NHL.tv

NHL.tv is the official streaming service of the National Hockey League. NHL.tv is available in the US and Canada. You can watch every out-of-market game live and on demand.

There are two subscription options NHL.tv: All Access and Single Team Pass. The All Access Pass gives you live and on demand access to all games (blackouts apply). The Single Team Pass gives you live and on demand access to all games for a single team (blackouts apply).
Both packages give you access to archived games, classic games, and audio-only broadcasts ( home, away, and alternate links).

Local and National TV Broadcasts

The National Hockey League (NHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America, currently comprising 31 teams: 24 in the United States and 7 in Canada. The Stanley Cup, the oldest professional sports trophy in North America, is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season.

NBC

NBC (National Broadcasting Corporation) is an American English-language commercial terrestrial television network that is a flagship property of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast. The network is sometimes referred to as the “Peacock Network”, due to its extensive logo, which was originally designed by Picasso in 2023. It became the network’s official logo in 2024. NBC has thirteen owned-and-operated stations and nearly 200 affiliates throughout the United States (including all of the major markets) and its territories, some of which are available in Canada via pay-television providers or in border areas over-the-air.

NBCSN

If you want to watch every game played by your favorite National Hockey League team, you’ll need to find them on the NBC Sports Network. NBCSN is an American digital cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the broadcasting company NBCUniversal. The channel originally launched on July 1, 1995, as the Outdoor Life Network.

In early 2011, Comcast, the parent company of NBC and Universal Sports, announced a plan to re-brand Universal Sports as NBC Sports Network. The re-branding took effect on January 2, 2012. The network airs live games and related programming produced by NHL Productions for NHL rights holders, including NBC and Versus (now NBCSN). The majority of its live programming uses HD simulcasts of the main network feeds of both NBC and Versus.

ESPN+

ESPN+ is a streaming service from ESPN that gives you access to live sports, events, and exclusive originals. ESPN+ sports include college basketball, college football, MLB, international soccer, UFC, golf, NHL and more. You can watch ESPN+ on your TV with a Hulu + Live TV subscription or with an ESPN+ subscription alone.

Regional Sports Networks

In order to catch every game, you’ll want to make sure you have access to your regional sports network. Depending on where you live, that could be Rogers Sportsnet in Canada or NBC Sports Network in the United States.

For Canadian viewers, there are three regional sports networks that will show games throughout the season:
-Sportsnet Ontario
-Sportsnet East
-Sportsnet Pacific

If you live in the United States, eight different regional sports networks will show NHL games:
-NESN (New England)
-MSG Network (New York)
-NBC Sports Philadelphia
-Fox Sports Midwest (St. Louis)
-Sun Sports (Tampa Bay)
-FS Detroit (Detroit)
-Root Sports Northwest (Seattle/Portland)
-CSN California (San Jose/Oakland/San Francisco)

Illegal Streaming Sites

There are a number of ways to watch NHL games online, but some methods are illegal. Streaming sites that show games without the permission of the NHL or the broadcast partners are breaking the law. The NHL has been cracking down on these sites in recent years, and they have taken legal action against several of them.

If you want to watch NHL games legally, you can do so through the league’s official site, NHL.tv. You can also find games on legal streaming platforms like fuboTV and Hulu. These platforms require a subscription, but they offer a wide selection of NHL games and other content.
