Official Channels

To watch ESPN’s broadcasts of NBA games, you’ll need to sign up for a pay TV service that includes ESPN in its channel lineup. Currently, this includes all four major U.S. cable TV providers — Comcast Xfinity, Spectrum (Charter/Time Warner), AT&T U-Verse/DirecTV, and DISH Network — as well as most smaller providers. You can also watch ESPN online without cable via one of the live TV streaming services listed below.

TNT

TNT is home to some of the most popular NBA games. You can watch games live on TNT or via the TNT app. The app is available on iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and more. You can also stream games on TNT with a subscription to fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, AT&T TV NOW, Sling TV, or YouTube TV.

Sling TV

Sling TV is an American over-the-top internet television service that is owned by the Dish Network. The service’s software allows subscribers to watch televisionshows, movies, and sporting events live or on demand on personal computers, smartphones, digital media players, and smart TVs. It launched on February 9, 2015. The ability to add and remove channels from the service for additional fees led Gigaom’s Brier Dudley to label the initial iteration of Sling TV a “glorified cable bundle”.

As of May 2017, the service offers six different channel packages. Sling TV also offers two base packages (“Orange” and “Blue”), each of which includes some channels not offered in the other.. As of July 2017, 32 U.S. markets offer access to local feeds of Fox and/or NBC as part of these packages.

In October 2018, Dish introduced “Sling Blue + Orange”, a single streaming service with all the channels from both packages for a total price of $40 per month.

FuboTV

FuboTV is a sports-centric streaming service that offers a fairly comprehensive lineup of basketball channels. You’ll get NBA TV, ESPN, ESPN2, and TNT with the base package, which goes for $45/month after a 7-day free trial. If you want to add more channels—or if you want to ditch cable entirely—you can tack on additional packages with fuboTV. The “fubo Extra” package costs $50/month after the trial and comes with Fox Sports 1 and 2, NBCSN, NBA TV, NFL Network, and regional Fox Sports networks in some markets. Finally, there’s the “fubo Latino” package for $17.99/month after the trial that only features networks aimed at Spanish-speaking viewers.

Hulu + Live TV

If you’re looking to watch NBA games live, one option is Hulu + Live TV. With this service, you can watch games that are airing on ESPN, TNT, and ABC. You can also record games to watch later. Hulu + Live TV does not include the NBA League Pass, so you’ll only be able to watch games that are airing on TV.

AT&T TV Now

AT&T’s streaming service offers live NBA games on ESPN, TNT and ABC. ESPN is included in all four of AT&T TV Now’s channel packages, which start at $65 per month. TNT and ABC are available in the $80 “Max” package. All four packages come with a free seven-day trial.
