Where Is The 2023 Nba All Star Game?
The 2023 NBA All-Star Game is set to be held in Indianapolis. This will be the first time the city has hosted the game since 1985.
Chicago
Chicago will host the 2023 NBA All-Star Game, league sources told ESPN.
The event will take place at the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls, sources said. It will be the first time the All-Star Game will be held in Chicago since 1988, when it was played at the old Chicago Stadium.
The United Center is also scheduled to host the 2021 NHL All-Star Game.
Charlotte
While the location of the 2023 NBA All-Star Game has not yet been officially announced, it is widely believed that the game will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina. This would be the second time that Charlotte has hosted the NBA All-Star Game, having previously hosted the game in 1991.
Indianapolis
The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will be held in Indianapolis, the league announced Wednesday.
Indianapolis last hosted the game in 1985.
“We are thrilled to bring the NBA All-Star Game back to Indianapolis,” said Jim Gray, chairman of the Indiana Sports Corp. “This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our city on a global stage and we are excited to partner with the NBA to create a week-long celebration of basketball for fans of all ages.”
Los Angeles
The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will be held in Los Angeles, California. The game will be played at the Staples Center, which is the home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. This will be the third time that Los Angeles has hosted the All-Star Game, and the first time since 2011.
New Orleans
The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will take place in New Orleans, the league announced Monday.
This will be the second time that the city has hosted the event, as it previously did so in 2008. That game took place at the then-New Orleans Arena, now known as the Smoothie King Center, which is also home to the Pelicans.
With Monday’s announcement, New Orleans becomes the first city to host two All-Star Games since Houston did so in 2006 and 2013.
Oklahoma City
The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will be held in Oklahoma City, the league announced Friday.
Oklahoma City last hosted the All-Star Game in 1992, when the game was played at what was then called the Myriad Convention Center. The facility has since been renamed the Chesapeake Energy Arena, which is currently home to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
“We are thrilled to bring NBA All-Star back to Oklahoma City and Chesapeake Energy Arena,” said Thunder chairman Clay Bennett in a statement. “This is a special opportunity to showcase our great city and state on a global stage.”
The game will be played on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
Philadelphia
Although the official site for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game has not been announced yet, Philadelphia is rumored to be the host city. This would be the third time that Philadelphia has hosted the game, with the last two occasions taking place in 1976 and 2002.
San Antonio
The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will be held in San Antonio, Texas. This will mark the third time that the city has hosted the event, having previously done so in 1998 and 2005. The game will take place at the AT&T Center, which is home to the San Antonio Spurs.
