The 2020 NBA Finals will be held in the American Airlines Arena in Orlando, Florida.

United States

Since the beginning of the NBA Finals in 1947, they have been held in the United States every year except for three. In 1975 and 1976, they were held in Montreal and Toronto, respectively, while in 1998 they were held in Japan. The vast majority of the Finals have been played in large cities on the East Coast, with New York City hosting the most games (22).

Canada

The NBA Finals are being held in Canada for the first time ever this year! The series will be played at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.

The 2020 NBA Finals will be the championship series of the 2019–20 NBA playoffs. All games will be played at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The series will begin on October 5, 2020 and end no later than October 25, 2020. It will be broadcast on ABC.

1940s: Early years and three straight titles (1947–1950)

The Lakers were founded in 1947 by businessman Bob Short who bought forfeited Detroit Pistons assets consisting mostly of players from that organization as well as assets from defunct Pittsburgh Ironmen and assets from any other recently defunct NBL or BAA teams that had picked up any available players via dispersal drafts following themost recent foldings of those respective leagues during World War II due to player shortages caused by enlistments for service during that timeperiod .[4][5] He placed a Class A minor league hockey team,[6] which had won two Stanley Cups while playing in Montreal as oneincome source while seeking a buyer for his basketball team who would be willing to relocate it.
