The NFL Draft is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for football fans. And the big question on everyone’s mind is: where is it going to be held?
Location
The 2017 NFL Draft will be the 82nd annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players. It will be held April 27–29 in Philadelphia. The draft is expected to include six to seven rounds and will be televised nationally by both ESPN and NFL Network. Although a specific draft order has not been announced as of January 2017, the order of selection is generally based on each team’s record from the previous season.
Cleveland, Ohio
On Wednesday, the NFL announced that the 2021 NFL Draft will be held in Cleveland, Ohio. The event, which is usually held in April, will take place from April 29 to May 1. It will be the first time the draft is held in Cleveland since 1961.
The announcement was made at a press conference by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam. “I’m really excited to bring the draft back to Cleveland,” Haslam said. “It’s going to be a great event for the city.”
Cleveland was chosen as the host city over Las Vegas and Kansas City. The NFL Draft was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, but was moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
