In 2016, Bayley was called up to the main roster, where she continued to entertain fans with her fun-loving attitude. She won the WWE Women’s Championship twice and the SmackDown Women’s Championship once.

Bayley is currently taking a break from WWE due to injury, but she is still one of the most popular superstars on the roster.

NXT Women’s Championship

Bayley is a former NXT Women’s Champion. She won the title on May 20, 2016, defeating Asuka at NXT TakeOver: The End… in Orlando, Florida. Raw Women’s Championship

On December 16 at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, Bayley defeated both Banks and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat Tables, Ladders & Chairs match to become the Raw Women’s Champion for the first time in her career. She successfully defended the title against Alexa Bliss at Roadblock: End of the Line. On the January 9, 2017 episode of Raw, after a one-on-one match between Banks and Flair ended in a no contest due to both women being unable to continue, Stephanie McMahon announced that there would be a Fatal 4-Way Elimination match at the Royal Rumble for the Raw Women’s Championship, which Bayley eventually won after last eliminating Banks. At Elimination Chamber on February 12, 2017, Bayley retained her title against Mickie James. On April 2 at WrestleMania 33, Bayley successfully defended her title against Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair in a fatal four-way elimination match.

Where is Bayley now?

As of late 2020, Bayley is still with WWE and is a part of the Smackdown brand. She is currently one of the top stars on the roster and is involved in a storyline with Sasha Banks.

Injuries

Over the past few years, Bayley has been plagued by several injuries. In early 2017, she tore her right shoulder labrum and underwent surgery. She returned later that year and won the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Clash of Champions, but she injured her left elbow in a match with Charlotte Flair in December. She underwent surgery again in early 2018 and was out of action for several months.

In May 2019, Bayley suffered a contusion on her right forearm after Becky Lynch hit her with a steel chair. She returned to action the following month and regained the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Money in the Bank. However, she was forced to vacate the title due to a separated right shoulder that she suffered during a brawl with Alexa Bliss on Raw.

Bayley made her return to WWE television on the January 27, 2020 episode of Raw, where she defeated Alicia Fox. She went on to compete in the 2020 Royal Rumble match and unsuccessfully challenged Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Super ShowDown.

SmackDown Women’s Championship

Bayley is currently the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, having won the title at WWE TLC 2020. She is also a former WWE Raw Women’s Champion, having held the title twice. Bayley is one of the most popular women in WWE, and her matches are always highly anticipated.

Royal Rumble

Bayley entered the match at number 28 and was eliminated by Nia Jax. She was one of the final four women in the match along with Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Asuka.

What’s next for Bayley?

WWE fans were shocked when Bayley was suddenly pulled from television. Where did she go? What’s next for her? Let’s take a look at what we know.

WrestleMania

Bayley will face Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Retirement

Bayley’s future in WWE is up in the air as she has not been used much on television as of late. Her last match was a loss to Tamina Snuka on the June 1, 2020 episode of SmackDown. This was her firstmatch since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Banks at WrestleMania 36.

As of right now, it does not seem like Bayley is being used much by WWE creative. She is not scheduled for any matches at upcoming live events and has not been included in any promos or vignettes for the past few months. This could be a sign that WWE is planning on releasing her from her contract in the near future.

If Bayley is indeed released from WWE, she will have no shortage of options available to her. She could return to the independent circuit where she started her career, or she could join another major wrestling promotion such as All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Whatever Bayley decides to do, she will always be remembered as one of the most popular and beloved Superstars in WWE history.
