The build to Survivor Series

WWE Survivor Series is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It is the second oldest WWE event after WrestleMania, having been held every November since 1987. The concept of the show is that it features tag team and singles matches with competitors from Raw and SmackDown competing against each other. The brand split between Raw and SmackDown began in 2002, but was discontinued in August 2011; as a result, the 2011 event was the first Survivor Series show not to feature any brand vs. brand matches. After being reintroduced in 2016, brand vs. brand matches returned at the 2017 event.

In addition to the brand vs. brand Survivor Series matches, several other key matchups have been announced for this year’s show. Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will put his title on the line against WWE Champion AJ Styles in what is sure to be a barn burner of a match. Additionally, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will face Charlotte Flair with the winner being crowned …the best in the world?
