American League

The team plays its home games at the Oakland Coliseum. They have won nine World Series championships, tied for the third-most of all current MLB teams.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers are a professional baseball team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Brewers compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) Central division. They play their home games at Miller Park, which opened in 2001.

The team is named after the city’s brewing industry. MillerCoors and Molson Coors Brewing Company are the primary brewers of beer for the stadium. The Brewers have played in Milwaukee since 1970, when they were founded as the Seattle Pilots. Between 1970 and 1997, the Brewers played their home games at Milwaukee County Stadium.

The Brewers joined the NL Central in 1998 as part of MLB’s realignment plan that resulted from the 1994 players’ strike; they have been members of that division ever since. They have qualified for the playoffs six times since 1999, winning five NL Central division championships and one Wild Card berth. However, they have never advanced to the World Series.
