Team Liquid

Team Liquid is a professionally run esports organisation with teams in a variety of games. In Fortnite, they have two teams: one for North America and one for Europe. Their North American team is made up of four professional gamers: Vivid, Poach, Thomas, and 72hrs. Their European team is made up of four professional gamers:mitr0, Taah, Nikof, and Scoped.

History

Team Liquid is a multiregional professional esports organisation based in the Netherlands that was founded in 2000. Originally a Brood War clan, the team switched to StarCraft II during the SC2 beta in 2010, and became one of the most successful foreign teams. On January 6, 2015, Team Liquid officially merged with GrindET (formerly known as Team No Limit), a professional League of Legends team that was formed in November 2013. Later that month, HuK (Dario Wünsch) was acquired from Evil Geniuses.

In early 2016, Team Liquid brought on ex-Counter Logic Gaming support player Froggen (Henrik Hansen), jungler IWillDominate (Christian Rivera), and Academy mid laner Goldenglue (Soham Chowdhury). Around the same time period Liquid also signed former world champion AD carry Doublelift (Yiliang Peng). With this star-studded lineup, Team Liquid went on an impressive hot streak throughout the majority of 2016.

100 Thieves is an American esports organization founded in April 2016 by former Call of Duty world champion and YouTube personality Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag. The organization also fields teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, PUBG, Call of Duty, and Fortnite.

History

100 Thieves, LLC is an American esports organization founded in 2017 by Matt “Nadeshot” Haag. The organization also fields teams in Call of Duty, League of Legends, and Valorant. They are one of ten franchised teams in the Call of Duty League and they play their home games at the 100 Thieves Cash App Compound in Los Angeles, California.

The organization was first introduced to the public on October 24th, 2017, with Nadeshot serving as the CEO and owner. The 100 Thieves brand was built upon four core values: entertainment, competition, content, and apparel. The name itself is a reference to Nadeshot’s past as a professional Call of Duty player; “thieves” is a term used to describe players who kill opponents who are preoccupied with looting or completing an objective.

In early 2018, 100 Thieves signed former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players Velveteen Dream (now Haunt), Dicey, and SetToDestroY. The organization made its CS:GO debut at ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018 with the trio. With SetToDestroY as the in-game leader (IGL), 100 Thieves managed to make it out of the New Challengers Stage with a 3-2 record (11-16 overall). However, they were unable to make it through the New Legends Stage, losing all five of their matches and finishing last in their group with a 3-16 record (16-31 overall).

On May 30th, 2019, 100 Thieves announced that they had signed NBA All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving as an investor and content creator. On October 21st, 2019, the organization announced that it had raised $35 million in Series B funding led by Insight Partners, valuating the company at over $100 million. The round also included investments from GV (formerly Google Ventures) ,valuable rights managing platform Black Crown LLC ,Cognitive Ventures ,Adeka Ventures ,and Expansion VC . Kyrie Irving also participated in this round of funding. With this new inflow of cash on hand ,they created paid positions for their 350 person staff ,including those who work behind the scenes like psychologists or analysts .as well adding more salaries for other positions such as coaches or managers .The funds will also go towards building out their 40k sqft HQ which they opened in August 2019 known as “The Cash App Compound” .On December 19th ,2019 popular Fortnite streamer and content creator SypherPK joined 100 thieves .

100 Thieves’ first Fortnite team was assembled in October 2018 with the signing of Ceice and Maux01. 100 Thieves qualified for the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City after finishing 13th in the Duos competition. Cash prizes for their 13th-place finish totaled $1.8 million.

FaZe Clan (formerly FaZe Sniping) is a professional eSports and entertainment organization that competes in various video game tournaments. The organization was founded on May 30th, 2010 by house owners Eric “Two Krystal One” Reddick and Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira. FaZe originally started as a YouTube sniping team on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The clan rose to prominence in the competitive Call of Duty scene in late 2011 with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Ghost Gaming was founded by Mattie “Nadeshot” Haag, a former professional Call of Duty player who retired from competitive play in 2015 to pursue a career in content creation and streaming. Nadeshot began his content career with YouTube gaming videos and soon transitioned to live streaming on Twitch. In 2017, Nadeshot started Ghost Gaming as a way to support up-and-coming content creators and esports athletes.

Since its inception, Ghost Gaming has signed some of the most popular Fortnite content creators, including Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff. The organization has also seen success in other games, with their Halo team winning the Halo World Championship 2018.

Ayden “Nickmercs” Wheeler is a 26-year-old from the United States who joined Ghost Gaming in January of 2019. He is considered to be one of the best Fortnite players in the world and has won numerous tournaments, including two Fortnite World Cups.

Dylan “Dyland” Kyle is a 20-year-old from Australia who has been with Ghost Gaming since September of 2018. He is a well-rounded player who often places in the top 10 of tournaments.

Deividas “Eastram” Martinkus is a 21-year-old from Lithuania who joined Ghost Gaming in November of 2018. He is known for his aggressive playstyle and has placed in the top 3 of several tournaments.

Rasmus “Krebs” Kress is a 16-year-old from Denmark who has been with Ghost Gaming since December of 2018. He is one of the youngest professional Fortnite players and is known for his mechanical skills and accuracy.

Finn “Krushia” Anderson is a 17-year-old from Scotland who joined Ghost Gaming in February of 2019. He is considered to be one of the best builders in the game and often places highly in duos tournaments.
