The classic green and white has been worn by some of the greatest players to ever step on the court, including Bill Russell, Larry Bird, and Kevin Garnett. The Celtics have won a record 17 NBA Championships, and their jerseys are a big part of that history.

This jerseys were first introduced in the 1971-72 season and quickly became synonymous with the team. The Warriors would wear this design for over 20 years, making it one of the longest-running jersey designs in NBA history.

The new “Clutch City” jerseys
In the offseason leading up to the 2015-2016 season, the Houston Rockets debuted new jerseys as part of the NBA’s “City” uniform program. The team’s new primary home jerseys are white with red lettering and numbering, while theaway jerseys are black with white lettering and numbering. The team also has a third jersey that is red with white lettering and numbering.
The design of the “Clutch City” jerseys is a nod to the uniforms worn by the Houston Rockets during their back-to-back championship seasons in 1994 and 1995. The biggest difference between the new jerseys and the ones worn during those championship years is the addition of a basketball player silhouette inside a shield on the upper left chest. This shield is similar to the one used on the Rockets’ current logo.
The Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers jersey is one of the most iconic jerseys in the NBA. It is a simple design, but it is perfect. The jersey is all purple with the Lakers logo in the middle. These jerseys have been a staple of the Lakers for decades, and they show no signs of going away anytime soon. They are instantly recognizable, and they are one of the most iconic jersey designs in all of sports.
The Lakers’ purple and gold jerseys are so popular that they have even been turned into a fashion trend. In recent years, it has become fashionable for people to wear Lakers-inspired clothing, such as t-shirts and hats, even if they are not fans of the team.
If you are looking for a classic NBA jersey design, then you can’t go wrong with the Los Angeles Lakers’ purple and gold jerseys.
The new “City” jerseys
The Los Angeles Lakers are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles. The Lakers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as a member of the league’s Western Conference Pacific Division. They play their home games at Staples Center, an arena shared with the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers and the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. The Lakers are one of the most successful teams in the history of the NBA, having won 16 NBA championships,[7][8] their last being in 2010.
As of 2019, the Lakers are the second most valuable franchise in the NBA according to Forbes, having an estimated value of $3.7 billion.
The franchise began with the 1947 purchase of a disbanded team, the Detroit Gems of the National Basketball League (NBL). The new team began playing in Minneapolis, calling themselves the Minneapolis Lakers. Initially a member of the NBL, the Lakers won the 1948 NBL championship before joining what is now known as the NBA. The team was forced to relocate to Los Angeles before Weeb Ewbank would coach it to 51 wins and 29 losses during their maiden season.[9]
Led by center George Mikan, who is described by ESPN as “the league’s first bona fide superstar”,[10] andcoached by John Kundla, they won five championships in six seasons – 1949 nba Finals and 1950 nba Finals (both against successor squads of Ewbank’s Syracuse Nationals that had since moved to Philadelphia to become today’s 76ers) and 1952–54 nba Finals (against cross-town rivals, The New York Knicks). After Kundla retired following their last title win in 1954, Mikan remained active with both coaching and executive duties for several years before becoming GM for a short time between 1958–60; however he is most remembered for his work as head coach from 1957–59.[11][12] In 1960, former Boston Celtics player Bill Sharman joined forces with Mikan and took over as head coach; he led them back into contention for several seasons but was unable to get past his former club defeating them twice in 1962 Finals and 1963 Finals en route to winning 8 straight titles from 1959–66.[13] After failing to defend their 1965 title against eventual champion Boston Celtics led by player-coach Bill Russell,[14] they failed again despite having added superstar Elgin Baylor who had been acquired via trade from San Francisco Warriors that off-season;[15][16] eventually they were able retrieve some success again under new head coach Butch van Breda Kolff[17] culminating in a Conference Finals victory over Baltimore Bullets which was then followed by yet another loss at hands of Russell’s Celtics squad – this time 4 games to 2 – during 1968 NBA Finals.[18][19][20]
The Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder have the best jerseys in the NBA. They are simple, yet stylish and they always look good no matter what. The Thunder’s jerseys are also unique and they always stand out in a crowd.

The Oklahoma City Thunder debuted their new “Statement” jerseys on November 16, 2017, against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The jerseys are white with blue and orange accents, and they feature the Thunder’s new logo. The team’s primary logo is on the chest, while the secondary logo is on the back.
The design of the jerseys is inspired by Native American art, and they are a tribute to the state of Oklahoma’s Native American heritage. The Thunder are one of four teams to debut new jerseys this season, and they are the only team to debut new logos as well.
The Statement jerseys are part of the NBA’s “NikeID” program, which allows fans to customize their own jerseys with their own personal logos and colors. The Thunder are one of eight teams to participate in NikeID, and they are the only team to have their own dedicated web site for customizing jerseys.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will wear their Statement jerseys for 15 games this season, including all four games against the Golden State Warriors.
