Which NBA Team Has the Most Fans?
A recent study shows that the Los Angeles Lakers have the most fans in the NBA.
Chicago Bulls
Out of all the NBA teams, the Chicago Bulls have the most fans. They have a large market and their fans are very passionate about their team. The Bulls have won six championships and their fans are very loyal. They have a huge following on social media and their games are always sold out. If you’re looking for a team with a large fan base, the Chicago Bulls are the team for you.
Los Angeles Lakers
There are a few ways to measure which NBA team has the most fans. One way is to look at TV ratings. For the 2017-2018 season, the Los Angeles Lakers had the highest TV ratings of any team in the league, with an average of 3.05 million viewers per game. This was almost double the average of 1.56 million viewers for the next highest team, the Golden State Warriors.
Another way to measure fan popularity is by looking at ticket sales. For the 2017-2018 season, the Lakers again topped the league in ticket sales, with an average of nearly 21,000 per game. The Warriors were again second in this category, with an average of just over 18,000 ticket sales per game.
Finally, we can look at social media followings to gauge fan popularity. As of March 2018, the Lakers had nearly 17 million followers across all social media platforms combined. The Warriors were once again second in this category, with just over 12 million followers.
So based on these three metrics – TV ratings, ticket sales and social media followings – it appears that the Los Angeles Lakers are currently the most popular NBA team among fans.
Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are an American professional basketball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Celtics compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. Founded in 1946 as one of the league’s original eight teams, the team play their home games at TD Garden, which they share with the National Hockey League (NHL)’s Boston Bruins. The Celtics are one of the most successful teams in NBA history; they have won the most championships of any franchise with 17 NBA titles, 28 conference titles, and 49 division titles. 31 Hall of Famers have played for the Celtics, while 13 have coached the team throughout its history; between 1956 and 1957, Red Auerbach became the first head coach to win eight consecutive NBA Championships—an accomplishment later matched by Phil Jackson.
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors have the most fans in the NBA. The team has won three championships in the last four years, and their fans are passionate and dedicated. The Warriors have a large fan base both in the Bay Area and around the country, and they regularly sell out their arena. If you’re looking for an NBA team with a large and loyal fan base, the Warriors are the team for you.
Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are an American professional basketball team based in Houston, Texas. The Rockets compete in the National Basketball Association as a member of the league’s Western Conference Southwest Division. The team plays its home games at the Toyota Center, located in downtown Houston. The Rockets have won two NBA championships and four Western Conference titles. The team was established as the San Diego Rockets, an expansion team originally based in San Diego, in 1967. In 1971, the Rockets moved to Houston due to lack of family-owned arenas and poor attendance rates in San Diego ( partly caused by the city’s proximity to Los Angeles which has two NBA teams: theLos Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers).
