The Finals
The NBA Finals are the annual championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Eastern and Western conference champions play a best-of-seven game series to determine the league champion. The Finals have been played every June since 1947.

This will be the first Finals matchup between these two teams since 2010, when the Lakers defeated the Celtics in seven games.

The Lakers made their 31st appearance in the NBA Finals in franchises history, while this will be only the 11th appearance for Miami.
