Which NBA Team Would Draft Me?

Do you ever wonder which NBA team would draft you if you were eligible? Well, wonder no more! We’ve created a quiz that will tell you which team is the best fit for you.

Which NBA Team Would Draft Me?

Introduction

In the National Basketball Association (NBA), the draft is used to allocate new players to teams. There are two types of drafts-the NBA draft and the NBA expansion draft. The NBA draft is held every year in June, while the expansion draft is held only when a new team joins the league.

The NBA expansion draft allows that new team to select up to 14 players from the other teams in the league. In order to be eligible for selection in the expansion draft, a player must have been left unprotected by his team.

The NBA draft is a different story. In order to be eligible for selection in the NBA draft, a player must be at least 19 years of age and one year removed from high school graduation. If a player meets these two requirements, he can declare himself eligible for the draft and will then be placed in a pool of eligible players.

From this pool of eligible players, each team in the league will select two players in each round of the draft, until all 30 teams have selected 60 players total. Of these 60 players, 35 will come from American colleges or universities, while the other 25 will come from foreign countries.

So, which NBA team would draft you?

The Process

The NBA draft is an annual event in which the thirty franchises in the National Basketball Association (NBA) select young players who have either completed college, or are playing in overseas leagues. The draft order is determined by the reverse order of the previous season’s standings, with the team that wins the NBA Finals receiving the last pick.

Combine Measurements

Player measurements are taken during the NBA Draft Combine. These measurements include height (without shoes and with shoes), weight, wingspan, standing reach, and body fat percentage. These measurements are important to NBA teams because they give another way to compare players. For example, two players may have the same vertical leap, but if one player is taller, that player will be able to get his or her shot off easier against shorter defenders. Also, a player who has a wingspan that is longer than his or her height (measured without shoes) will have an advantage on defense, because that player will be able to reach further and block more shots.

Compare to Current NBA Players

When trying to predict which NBA team would draft you, it is important to compare your skills and stats to current NBA players. This will give you a good idea of where you stand amongst other players and where you might fit in best.

To start, think about which player in the NBA has a similar skill set to yours. What are your strengths and weaknesses? What position do you play? Are you a slasher or three-point shooter? Do you have the size and strength to battle down low in the post or are you more of a finesse player who relies on quickness and agility?

Once you have answered these questions, research players with similar skillsets and find out what Mock Drafts have them going to. See if there are any recent transactions or retirements that have opened up spots on teams that might be a good fit for you. Pay attention to what type of player each team is looking for – are they in need of a point guard who can score or a big man who can defend the paint?

By doing your research and knowing where you stand in relation to other players, you will be better prepared to answer the question: which NBA team would draft me?
