The current majority owner of the Dallas Cowboys is worth an estimated $8.6 billion, which puts him well ahead of second-place Stephen Bisciotti of the Baltimore Ravens ($4.4 billion) and third-place Shad Khan of the Jacksonville Jaguars ($4.3 billion).

Jones’s wealth comes primarily from his stake in the Cowboys, which he bought for $140 million in 1989. The team is now worth an estimated $5 billion, making it the most valuable franchise in the NFL. Bob McNair is the founder, chairman, and CEO of the Houston Texans. He is also the majority owner of the team, with 71% of the franchise’s shares.

McNair’s net worth is estimated at $3.8 billion, making him the richest NFL owner. He made his fortune in energy, starting with a power plant in Mississippi in 1967.
