Which NFL QB has the Most Interceptions?
We take a look at the NFL quarterbacks who have thrown the most interceptions in a season and career.
Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning, who played for the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, leads the NFL with 141 career interceptions.
Brett Favre
Brett Favre, who played 20 seasons in the NFL, currently holds the record for most interceptions thrown in a career with336. Although he was known for his strong arm and leadership skills, he also had a propensity for throwing picks. In fact, he ranks first in both interceptions thrown and games played with interceptions.
Eli Manning
Eli Manning has thrown the most interceptions of any NFL quarterback over the past decade. In fact, he’s thrown almost twice as many interceptions as the next-closest quarterback (Philip Rivers).
Manning’s propensity for throwing picks has been a significant problem for the New York Giants, and it’s one of the main reasons why they’ve been struggling so much lately. In addition to his sack totals increasing in recent years, Manning’s interception total has also gone up. He threw a career-high 27 picks in 2013, and he followed that up with 26 more interceptions in 2014.
If Manning can’t cut down on his turnovers, it’s going to be tough for the Giants to get back to being a competitive team.
Tom Brady
In the 2017 NFL season, New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady had the most interceptions of any quarterback in the league, with a total of 10.
