We all know that NFL quarterbacks have some serious arm talent. But who can throw the football the farthest? We took a look at some of the league’s top quarterbacks to find out.
Tom Brady- New England Patriots
Tom Brady of the New England Patriots is currently the NFL quarterback who can throw the farthest. He has an arm span of 77 inches, which gives him an incredible reach. This allows him to make throws that other quarterbacks simply cannot make.
Drew Brees- New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints has the strongest arm in the NFL, according to a new study.
The study, conducted by fivethirtyeight.com, used a quantitative analysis to measure how far each NFL quarterback could throw a football. The data was collected from public records and news reports of quarterbacks’ throwing distances in competitive situations, such as at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Brees came out on top, with an average throwing distance of 60.7 yards. While that may not seem like much, it’s nearly 10 yards further than the next closest quarterback, Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons.
Other notable quarterbacks who made the top 10 include Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers (59.5 yards), Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions (58.8 yards), and Tom Brady of the New England Patriots (58.6 yards).

The Green Bay Packers have had their fair share of good quarterbacks over the years. But there’s one that stands out among the rest, and that’s Aaron Rodgers.
In 2008, Rodgers became the starting quarterback for the Packers, and he’s been their most successful quarterback to date. He’s led the team to two Super Bowl appearances, winning one in 2010. He was also named the MVP of that Super Bowl.
But what makes Rodgers so special is his ability to throw the football. He has one of the strongest arms in all of football, and he can make any throw on the field.
In 2013, Rodgers set the NFL record for most passing yards in a season with 4,Statistic: 789 yards. And in 2014, he set the league record for most touchdown passes in a season with 45.
So it’s no surprise that Rodgers can throw the football farther than any other quarterback in the NFL. In fact, he holds the record for longest pass completion in NFL history with a 99-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb in 2013.
Russell Wilson- Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks- The Seahawks quarterback can chuck it. He holds the NFL record for the longest completed pass with a bomb of 80 yards to Tyler Lockett in a 2019 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
